About the author

An artist should create beautiful things, but should put nothing of his own life into them. --Oscar Wilde

I thoroughly disagree with this statement. Though, it is absolutely gorgeous. I think it is wrong.

I am known as Miss Malorie. I am a self-proclaimed, though divinely-appointed writer.

You will find some of me and my experiences in everything that I write, even if you are not aware of it. My desire to write came from my need for an outlet to express things that were going on in my life.

I feel as though I wouldn't be a real artist if I didn't put some of myself (if not all of myself) into what I write. Because truthfully, though I'm writing it for me, I'm really writing it for you. (If it was just for me, I'd keep it to myself and never share. But I don't like being selfish :)

That all being said, I'm Malorie. I have a B.A. in English (c/o '08, Go Gators!!!), and one day I'll probably have my M.F.A. I've thought of myself as a writer since I was about 15. I also write freelance articles, and I've had my poetry published once before after entry in a contest.

Yes, those are my feet in the picture, and yes, that's me. I'm extremely open with those people I call friends. And when I'm in the zone of writing, I'm pretty damn open as well. What's the point in holding back? We don't get that much time here to leave an impact, so I'm going to make sure I waste none of it.
